WHAT IS BRANDING?

Branding encompasses the creation of a cohesive identity for a business. Think of iconic brands like UPS or Macintosh. The objective of branding is to ensure that your logo, signage, spaces, and products reflect the “personality” of your business.

LOGOS AND IDENTITY

Branding begins with developing a logo that captures your business’s essence. This process requires active engagement between you and me as the designer.

We start with a meeting to determine the personality we want to convey for your business. From there, I’ll create a series of sketches, making refinements and tweaks until we arrive at a logo that satisfies both of us.

Once a logo is finalized, I create a comprehensive set of ‘Brand Guidelines’ for your business. This booklet, along with a collection of digital assets, will guide the development of supporting materials. It includes font choices, font hierarchy, colours, textures, and possibly supporting icons. Each brand guideline is tailored to the unique needs of your business.

You should be able to hand these guidelines to other designers, and ensure that your company maintains a consistent and polished appearance.
